Snap Surveys
The snap surveys project is designed to support organizations whose engagement is on responsible waste disposal by producing a research-based ‘how-to-guide’ from case studies on community engagement.
Why Snap Surveys?
Support citizen engagement on responsible waste disposal and improve the coordination activities of initiators through a simple to use ‘how-to-guide’.
Spotlight the activities and work of organisations that are championing responsible waste management.
Categorise and evaluate different types of community engagement programmes on waste management.
Identify ways that organisations can raise more funds and deploy their resources more effectively to improve community level waste management practices.
Snap Survey Long Case
The long case report describes 3 very different types of community engagement and evaluates responses from the community to them. The long case report also triangulates the findings, to develop a practical how-to-guide that can be utilized by support project initiators to plan, identify resources and partners to support implementation, set realistic targets for their engagements and encourage sharing about project learning.
Snap Survey Short Case
The short case study is the preliminary stage for the snap survey project. It involved three processes:
- Building up a list of organisations carrying out interventions in communities (initiators) through desktop research, referrals and reviewing proprietary databases.
- Surveying and identifying organisations through an online questionnaire (online).
- Analysing, reviewing, and interpreting the results from the aggregated data and qualitative inputs.
