Nigeria Circular Fashion and Textiles Ecosystem Study
Overview
The Nigeria Circular Fashion Textiles Ecosystem Study was conducted to investigate and identify companies that focus on the design and manufacturing of garments and other fashion products, while also recognizing those with the capacity and interest to integrate circular principles into their design and production processes. The study is primarily concerned with pinpointing the potential for building circular economy practices within the fashion industry, rather than providing a comprehensive representation of the entire fashion ecosystem in Nigeria.
The study was contracted to the Circular Business Platform (CBP) by Innovate UK – Business Connect under the Innovate UK Global Alliance Africa, an initiative brought by the UK International Development through Innovate UK’s GlobalChallenge Research Fund (GCRF) and the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO).
Methodology
The study adopted the UNESCO Fashion Ecosystem Map in carrying out the research.
