CIRCO HUB Nigeria set to Launch
A Collaboration Between Circular Business Platform (CBP), Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) and the Netherlands Consulate.
The Circular Business Platform (CBP), dedicated to fostering a solid foundation for circular businesses in Lagos and across Nigeria by offering access to knowledge, business opportunities, networks, and resources, is partnering with the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of Pan-Atlantic University, which specialises in offering holistic business development and support services to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria. Together, they are teaming up to launch CIRCO HUB Nigeria.
Happening on 26th September 2024 at the Lagos Business School, this launch will introduce CIRCO HUB Nigeria which is an extension of CIRCO International, an educational service company creating business through circular design founded in the Netherlands.
The arrival of CIRCO into Nigeria can be traced to the Circular Economy Strategy Week event held between March 25th to 28th 2024, in Lagos Nigeria. The Netherlands Consulate spearheaded the conversation to establish CIRCO HUB Nigeria which is becoming a reality in less than six months after the event.
CIRCO HUB Nigeria will not be established as a legal entity but as a shared project between CBP and EDC. The goal is to bring the CIRCO approach to Nigeria, fostering a local alumni network connected to the global CIRCO community and developing products and services tailored to the Nigerian context to ensure the long-term success of the project.
CBP and EDC have already outlined a range of products to be introduced through CIRCO HUB Nigeria, which include: Challenges and Competitions, Networking Events, Lunch and Learn, Design Thinking Workshops, amongst others.
CIRCO HUB Nigeria is the first network of CIRCO International existing in Africa. The CIRCO HUB Nigeria project aims to empower Nigerian businesses to adopt circular design practices and drive innovation in sustainable business models.
